We often think we have a sufficient skincare routine but we question ourselves less about our bad habits.

You may not understand why you have skin problems, why your complexion is dull, why your features are drawn, your skin sags and why you still have acne at your age!? I think we’ve ALL been there… Who isn’t tired of looking at themselves with a depressed look in the morning and thinking: “it’s my nature, my skin is like that, I have to deal with it… No choice, I’ve tried everything, nothing works” ?

We don’t give up, it is still possible to see beautiful skin in the mirror that exudes freshness!

To do this, you must first ask yourself what could be causing these skin problems.

12 bad habits to avoid to have beautiful skin:

Before looking everywhere for miracle recipes or giving up, first check that you are not making unforgivable mistakes… 

You are not truly taking care of the beauty of your skin if:

1- You don’t remove your makeup every night before going to bed

2- You don’t moisturize your skin every morning and every night before going to bed. This is essential, even for oily skin!

3- You wash yourself with a washcloth. And the same one for several days! You have to forget that good old washcloth…

4- You don’t clean your makeup brushes regularly (many people don’t know this: the foundation brush, for example, should theoretically be washed every day)

5- You smoke

6- You regularly eat very sweet and quite fatty foods

7- You party several times a week: short nights and well-watered aperitifs!

8- You expose yourself to a lot of sun and/or get UV rays regularly

9- You touch your face all day long and regularly pick at your little pimples and blackheads… The more you touch, the worse you make the situation.

10- You don’t wash your pillowcase regularly. The residue from your products (hair/face) accumulates on your pillowcase and becomes greasy and clogs the pores of your skin. The ideal would be to wash it every 3 or 4 days.

11- You like to take your shower very hot… (huuumm, I love it…). Too bad, you will have to favor lukewarm water and the ideal is to finish with a jet of cold water.

12- You suffocate your skin every day under a thick layer of foundation. Let your skin breathe a little by limiting this practice or reducing the dose and choose a mineral and non-comedogenic foundation.

Applying a treatment to mistreated skin is like putting a nice varnish on dirty nails…

It is by wiping the slate clean of these bad habits and adopting the right beauty habits on a daily basis that we will have every chance of obtaining beautiful, healthy and radiant skin.

It is up to us to choose the best for ourselves, so let’s act today on the basis of these simple and effective keys, this will allow us to find beautiful and healthy skin naturally. Once we can really check all these boxes, we can then consider once or twice a year, receiving a facial treatment by experts .

For my part, I’m going to have to take action to say goodbye to the boiling shower (especially in winter) and wash my pillowcase more often. On the rest, I’m not doing too badly.
