Those who don’t play sports often justify themselves by saying they have too many commitments in their lives . Many times the desire is great, but your will to start an activity falters because everything seems like a rush.
You run to pick up your kids from school, you run because you’re late for work, you run to get the groceries done before the supermarket closes. With all that running, you feel like you’re already doing enough exercise ! But, even if you feel like you’re moving a lot during the day, you have to realize that that movement isn’t exercise !
And, once you understand this, change your attitude and do everything you can to organize your day so that you can carve out some time for real sport. Because doing sport and eating healthily is important for your health: those who follow a diet and do sport will lose weight better and have a more toned body .
Here are some tips for those who work a lot, those who struggle between family, shopping and work and for those who are super busy and don’t know how to reconcile the pilates course with the thousand deadlines in the diary.
Organized with friends
The script is always the same: at the beginning you are very motivated and you plan to go to the gym at least three times a week but slowly tiredness takes over and, even if you have paid for a year’s membership, after a month the enthusiasm has faded.
The solution: involve your friends , so when you feel unmotivated they will be the ones to recharge you! Doing sports together is also a way to share something healthy with a friend. Whether it’s the gym or jogging or tennis , the will to keep going is stronger when you are in a group.
Are you married or in a relationship?
Why don’t you look for a sport to practice together? Talk to your partner and discover something you didn’t know about him/her, maybe that he/she has always dreamed of taking a Caribbean dance class! Little by little, a common passion can be born. Or, if your partner doesn’t like running, think about what he/she likes to do and help him/her choose the sport that’s best for him/her. For example, if he/she loves nature, why not try trekking on the weekend?
And what about married women with children?
Usually on Saturday afternoons the children play in the room while your husband takes a nap? Change the family routine and organize a soccer game or go buy roller skates for everyone! You will play sports together and the whole family will have fun!
